When Is Nutrisystem Weight Loss Possible?
A new program in which people can lose weight by dieting and exercise is being tested in New York City, and it’s already working wonders.
According to NPR, the program is called Nutrisome and the goal is to help people who are overweight lose weight.
The program uses a modified Atkins diet to help with weight loss and weight maintenance, and the idea is that the participants can work out more frequently to improve their physical and mental health.
The plan is also being tested at hospitals, as well as in public schools, and there is even a plan for schools to offer Nutrisomes as part of the curriculum.
The idea of using the diet to weight loss is not new; researchers in the 1960s found that people who ate fewer calories a day had lower rates of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and other health problems.
But until now, there has been very little research on the program, and this study suggests that people can actually lose weight if they’re willing to stick with it.
“There’s been a lot of talk about the idea that if you lose weight, that you can actually be healthier and you’re not going to get a whole lot of ill effects from it,” Dr. John Ioannidis, a professor of medicine at Yale University, told NPR.
“But I think this is one of the most promising studies in the history of this kind of research.
And that is really exciting.”
Researchers in the study are still developing the methodology of the study, but Ioannides says that it should be a fairly straightforward program.
The subjects are required to eat a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that mimics the typical American diet, which has about 70 percent of calories coming from carbohydrates and 40 percent from protein.
While the study is still in its early stages, it is promising because it is the first time researchers have found that weight loss could be achieved by a low-calorie diet.
The study was funded by the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation.
